Laws and rights regarding eviction when there is no rent and its a family memeber?
I live in FL with my bf and 2 young children. His mom has a servere illness and is on hospice(end life care) and his 75 yr old grandmother also live in this house(which is owned by his grandmother). We were not asked to pay rent we were to take care of the medical problems and the house in stead of. His aunt just told me she wanted me to leave and gave me 1 week to get out and is going to put his mom and grandmother in nursing homes. Currently neither my bf or I are employed(he lost his job because of amount of time have to take off due to his mothers medical issues. (as an ex of severity she has had 44 surgeries on her abdomen and has 6 ft of intestine and 15 differnt meds to take so its a big deal to take care of her) What I want to know is if his aunt has to go file an eviction. If she does by FL how long we have to leave. And since it wasnt a rental (no money exchanged we did by food etc.) how it or if it changes the eviction. Not that we dont/wont go just want time
would like to add that if a full time nurse was hired to do the ivs and meds and since the grandmother has fallen and broken both hips and needs someone there to help in case of another fall, hiring a house keeper to clean since both his mom and grandmother are not very mobile, and a person to cook, grocery shop and take both mom and grandmother to drs and any other place needed to go and we have been buying the groceries it doesnt need to be made to sound as if we are just sponging or what ever u would like to say. We came to stay here because we loved them and wanted to help make sure they had the care they needed and answers that are negatively put to the effects of you did nothing are not welcome.
CNA jobs– at a hospital?
Im currently going to classes to get certified as a CNA because Im trying to earn points to get into Nursing school to be an RN. I know most CNA jobs are caring for the elderly in nursing homes but I would rather gain experience working in a hospital. Would I be doing the same work as I would do in nursing homes or would it be different? I would rather not have to bath and clean the elderly even though I know I have to do the dirtier work being a CNA.
How do i become a better nursing supervisor?
I am an LPN in a nursing home, and i’ve been doing this for the last 3 years. I find that the hardest part of my job is being a supervisor to the CNA’s. Here lately I have been realizing that I need to become a better supervisor, it is very difficult for me because i am either younger or the same age as my aides and i HATE conflict. i understand that resident care is my top priority and i expect nothing less than the best for my patients but i find it very hard when i find my aides have done something wrong to call them on it, usually i just fix whatever is wrong myself and go on with my day, and rely on the aides that i know always do their job to clean up after the lazy ones, and i’m tired of just dong it for them, how can i be a constructive teacher and get over my fear of conflict? (i honestly shake and tremble and have a hard time speaking when i’m calling my aides out on what they did wrong)
health insurance help (no rude comments please)?
My friend is a 20 year old student. He used to be included under his dad’s insurance policy, but just a week or two ago, his dad lost his job because the company was cutting down the size of its employees. Last night, my friend twisted his knee while playing basketball. He injured the same knee last summer too, which I think made the knee more vulnerable to injury. My friend is a nursing student, and according to his professor, he won’t be able to participate in his clinical rotation and would need a doctor’s note saying that he’s can go to his clinicals before he can work in the hospital.
My question is, how can he get that doctor’s note if he currently doesn’t have insurance? What can he do? Is there any programs or anything that he can avail or use for free or for a reasonable price since he is a legal US citizen?
Thanks.
Dont know what to major in?? please help!!?
im a junior this year and college applications are coming up rapidly. im sooooo lost on what to major on, i want to be so many things. The 2 main ones are either math or history teacher, or a nurse. Not a RN nurse cuz i volunteer at the local hospital and nurses there say they hate dealing with all the people, so i was thinking like a radiology tech or something like that. I like math and history, but i could only teach very serious students. Also, i wanna make a lot of money, and i know nurses make more than teachers, but i dont wanna be a radiology tech. im soooo confused, what should i major in?!? i love music and the arts, but there are few good jobs you can make out of that. I live in FL and i wanna go to UF. I take college-prep courses, 200 something community hours, and a 4.2 GPA

***>>NURSING SCHOOL???<<<****?
I am currently a student studying Information Technology and this degree program was more of a plan B for me because I felt that financially I wouldn’t be able to go to school full time for Nursing since I support myself. I do go through FASFA, if I decide that I want to switch it up and do what I’ve always wanted, which is Nursing, would the FASFA be able to cover my rent (I can get a roomie), bills ect plus tuition on top of that for two years? I just feel that the corporate world is not for me really, I have a passion for helping people and just wish I could take that step. It’s the financial part that scares me, leaving my full time job to pursue this. Any suggestions, and will the FASFA cover everything? Thank you.
I enjoy working in the kitchen at a big hospital. “Professionals’ employed there are really rude to us!?
As we take food and fruit etc around we need to get sign off in many sections. The nurses brush us away and the doctors and nurses look straight through us and ignore us. A few don’t but it is really rude. Ok, they went to uni – great good on them. I really want to tell them I do agency nursing on the weekends and this job is to help my son at uni but why should I explain myself?
If I quit my job for school am I eligible for VA Unemployment Checks?
My job had strict hours of Mon thru Fri 8am-5pm; I recently was accepted into a nursing school with classes of Mon thru Fri 11am-1:30pm…with this situation, I had to resign from my position. I have been looking for a new job for months now and cannot find anything. Am I eligible for unemployment checks? I do not need the insurance just the income. I live on my own and have many bills. What can I do?
Where should I move??????
I want to move next year. Right now I’m in a practical nursing program so once I get licensed I can pretty much move anywhere. However, I want it to be warm and sunny and also I need to have a college nearby so I can do a bridge program for LPN to RN because my ultimate goal is to be an RN. But once I become an LPN in a few months I want to get a job and move!
Right now I live in FL. So I’d like to try something west…maybe Texas, Arizona, California, or somewhere that I can enjoy the single life as a young professional! How do I know where is best for me? I’ll be moving all by myself…just me and my two shih tzus ![]()
Any ideas on how to pick a city that’s best for me?
pk-it’s funny how people who live in florida want snow! hahah! i grew up in ohio but have lived in florida the last 5 years…i don’t think i could ever go back to the snowy weather! but thanks for the input
What kind of jobs are available in the nursing field with a 2 year degree? ?
Thank you to everyone who answered my questions I very much appreciate your inputs! I know I want to work in the medical Health industry just not sure what is out there. I don’t want to be a CNA, I want to take college classes and go from there. I will make phone calls to find out where to get started and what different jobs are available in the field of Nursing. Thanks again, Mike
